The Geography Education Masters Program is one of the study programs at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Yogyakarta State University (YSU), whose implementation officially began in 2014 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No.: 434/E/O/2014 dated October 2, 2014 concerning Establishment of UNY PGPM PPs Study Program. Based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, the PPs UNY PGPM Study Program occupies the UNY PPs Campus which is located at Jalan Colombo No. 1 Karangmalang Yogyakarta. In 2020 PGPM became one of the study programs at the Faculty of Social Sciences based on the Chancellor's Decree Number 27/UN34/VIII/2020 concerning Transfer of Master Programs and Doctoral Programs in Monodisciplinary and Postgraduate Sciences to Departments and/or Faculties.
